House Bill 2637
On February 4, 2025 HB2637 was put on “HOLD” in the Regulatory Oversite Committee meeting. Members of your State Board and AADO were there to testify in support of keeping our license law. AADOs Legal team made a presentation prior to the session and UOA sent in members sent many testimonials in support of Arizona Opticians. We owe them all a debt of gratitude for supporting our cause. AADO will respond in kind when and if needed as we did for Nevada in 2023. When a bill goes on hold it is because an issue as been raised that questions the bill in some way. The committee can make changes if they have time and desire or not, as in the 2024 bill 2740. This was a good day for us however, on Hold is not dead.
