How many Continuing Education Credits (CECs) do I need to fulfill my Arizona license requirements?
Each licensee shall submit documentation to the Board verifying that the licensee has completed 12 hours or more of continuing education, within each three-year period. Of the twelve hours of continuing education, each licensee shall obtain at least:
Four hours in eyeglass fitting and dispensing; (ABO)
Three hours in contact lens fitting and dispensing; (NCLE)
One hour in state or national opticianry standards.
Four other optically related hours for a total of 12 hours
Only ABO, NCLE or Board approved courses are acceptable.
